The Messermeister Oliva Luxe Chef's Knife is the workhorse of all knives. You'll gravitate toward it when performing 90% of your culinary tasks.

It has a highly figured Italian olive wood handle attached to a hand-forged blade. It is ground to a thin profile for a razor sharp edge. With this knife you can chop, slice and mince effortlessly.

• The German 1.4116 stainless carbon alloy blade resists stains and corrosion, is strong and durable, retains its sharpness and is easily regrindable to a razor-sharp edge.
• This line of knives is one-piece, hot-drop hammer forged, which produces the strongest blade from heel to tip. The blades are heat treated and cooled to achieve a Rockwell of 57-58.
• The three-stage, 15° Elite edge is hand ironed on a cloth wheel, creating the sharpest possible cutting edge on a serrated tool.

MAINTENANCE

• Hand wash with warm water and mild detergent; rinse and dry immediately.
• Do not put in the dishwasher.
• Avoid cleaning products that contain bleach or citrus extracts.
• If necessary, oil the wooden handle with food-safe mineral oil.
